Out-of-state applicants will be responsible for their own travel, lodging, and food expenses.
Contest submission guidelines:

- Five pages of a middle grade or young adult manuscript (double-spaced, 1-inch margins, 12-pt Times New Roman font), OR a picture book manuscript of 1,000 words or less.
- One page detailing how you think a conference will help you on your writing journey and why children’s literature is important to you.
