The Craft of Nonfiction: Where Does Your Story Come From, and More Importantly, Where Does it Go?

a webinar with Erica Zappy Wainer,

freelance editor for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt

Books for Young Readers

Saturday, November 18th at 9:00 AM CDT

Rescheduled Tentatively to Saturday, November 18

at 9:00 AM CDT

Please join this exciting webinar with Erica for a deep dive into creating nonfiction.
Where do the ideas for successful nonfiction stories come from?  How do you know when you have something that is less than an idea and more…like a book? Nonfiction stories come from all sorts of places, and just like stories of fiction, they need to tell a story, feature memorable characters, and keep readers turning the page.  How do you get there? Together we'll talk about ideas, competition, research, audience, and all of the other factors, big and small, that can help you develop an exciting nonfiction pitch, proposal, or manuscript.

The Cost: $10 for members and $25 for non-members. Those who register will be allowed to submit to Erica for a limited time, following the Webinar. She works primarily on nonfiction but will consider all genres and topics.

With both webinars, registration includes a link to view the Webinar live or you can view the recorded webinar for a limited time after the event.
